چکیده
Abstract Recent developments in process-based coastal area models such as XBeach provide new opportunities to predict responses primary forcing mechanisms storm hydrodynamic by using 2DH grids. However, due the lack of measured data, there are few application scenarios models. Therefore, more measurement and research needed. In this paper, Typhoon Lekima that hitting Zhejiang Province during neap tide period was selected simulate morphodynamic Huangcheng Beach assuming encountering with different types. Cross shore measurements eight cross-shore profiles (named S1 ~ S8 from north south) pre- post- respectively were presented. Then a surge wave coupled model established Delft3D Flow/Wave. The well calibrated water levels data provided boundary conditions typhoon types coupling situations for refined model. built simulated morphological beach verifications. On basis numerical results, bed level changes at analyzed, character erosion deposition under illustrated. net sand volume got smaller spring condition rather than middle conditions. Further study distribution induced current stages collision, inundation ebb shown stronger would increase sediment transport rate reduce S3 S6 S8, total amount involved transportation had increased whole beach, leading reduction S1, S2, S4 S5.

The morphodynamic responses of artificial embayed beaches to storm events
The morphological changes caused by storm events in two Barcelona beaches were recorded using video monitoring techniques during the period 2001–2006. Changes in shoreline position and configuration and submerged bar position and shape were analyzed during the 25 major storm events that occurred during the study period. Beach responses to storms were grouped into three categories: shoreline adv...

OBJECTIVE Subjective well-being was evaluated three weeks after Super Typhoon Haiyan struck the Philippines. Based on the Conservation of Resources theory, which focuses on the role of resources in understanding adjustment following trauma, data was collected on lost resources. In line with the Conservation of Resources theory, four categories of resources were defined: objects-residential prop...
متن کاملModelling of Correlated Ordinal Responses, by Using Multivariate Skew Probit with Different Types of Variance Covariance Structures
In this paper, a multivariate fundamental skew probit (MFSP) model is used to model correlated ordinal responses which are constructed from the multivariate fundamental skew normal (MFSN) distribution originate to the greater flexibility of MFSN. To achieve an appropriate VC structure for reaching reliable statistical inferences, many types of variance covariance (VC) structures are considered ...
متن کاملHuman Impact on the Benthic Macrofauna of Two Beach Environments with Different Morphodynamic Characteristics in Southern Brazil
Pollution, exploitation of resources, erosion and recreational activities produce the most common impacts that somehow alter the natural balance of beach ecosystems. The aim of this study was to compare the richness and abundance of the benthic macrofauna of two sectors, one non-urbanized and the other urbanized, on each of two morphodynamically different beaches. Sectors of each beach were ana...

Monthly cross shore beach profiles measured at the Ogata Wave Observation pier located in Joetsu-Ogata Coast, Niigata Prefecture, Japan, was analyzed to investigate multi-scale morphodynamic beach behavior. The Ogata beach, facing the Sea of Japan, is subjected to high energy wave conditions that has a strong winter/summer seasonal signature. The measured beach profiles at the beach show very s...
